The King of Beers

The King of beers is now the beer of WPT. Yesterday Anheuser-Busch and WPT announced a new sponsor ship dealer where the King of Beers "Budweiser" will be advertised in various spots which include the featured table ring and the use of graphics when the hole cards are shown to the TV audience.

While WPT will be branded with Budweiser logos, Anheuser-Busch is not resting there to make their king of beers king of beers for poker players. Along with the sponsorship deal announced yesterday Anheuser-Busch announced that they will be holding a series of free live Texas Hold'em poker tournaments for a chance to win their way into a national showdown where the top two players will receive seats at the WPT's celebrity Pro-Am Invitational.

The tournament begins in December and runs through until February. If the tournament visits a town near me I think I might have to try my luck, and maybe a Bud...
